The Western World, namely my dear country United States of America, is known for it's freedom of speech, outrageous pompousness, ethnocentrism, freedom of sexual expression among a plethora of other attributes(positive, negative and in between) . Modesty, Piousness and Demure femininity aren't generally associated with the image of America; This blog serves to represent a personal story/journey of being mindful about the way the body is to be adorned/covered, what that means in society, how that relates to my spiritual beliefs and my journey to become the "Modest Americana" .
This blog will cover a variety of different subjects including but not limited to "looks" of the day, building a modest wardrobe, DIY sewing projects, religiosity in contemporary America and the minority experience within the framework of above mentioned areas.
